Import Operations/Customs Entry Writing

Mainfreight San Francisco is looking to fill an opening in Import operations and Customs entry writing. We welcome qualified candidates with direct customs brokerage and freight forwarding industry experience to apply for the following position. Position Description:
- Work in daily import operations with data entry, document turnovers, arranging deliveries, etc.
- Complete Customs entry processing from Classifications to ABI entry
- Coordinate with origin and/or destination agents/offices as necessary
- Entry of FMC filing as needed for ocean import rates.
- Process billing for import & brokerage files
- Collaborate with sales representative to create and maintain customer profiles and rates
Requirements & Skills:
- Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
- Must possess effective communication skills (both written and verbal) with both the customer and representatives of network offices and agents.
- Possesses proficient knowledge of operating systems
- Requires three or more years of transportation industry experience
- Works independently with little or no supervision
- Knowledgeable of government regulations and industry and CBP standards as applicable
