Job Summary:

As the Customs Analyst you will play a critical role in PetSmart's Supply Chain with responsibility for monitoring and analyzing daily compliance with US and Canadian import requirements to ensure that the company is in compliance with all appropriate Customs and other government agency regulations. This will require reviewing and maintaining tariff classifications for both US and Canadian import items, overseeing shipments into Foreign-Trade Zone and interfacing with US and Canadian Customs brokers. As the subject matter expert within the company you will be expected to anticipate, identify, and solve customs related problems and provide consistent, documentable solutions that meet both the needs of PetSmart as well as adhere to the myriad of legal requirements imposed by Canada and the United States regarding the importation of foreign goods and products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilitiess:

Experience/Education Required:

Bachelor degree in Business or equivalent program required as well as a U. S. Customs Brokers License.. Three to five years directly related and relevant work experience required that includes an in depth knowledge of US and Canadian import requirements, tariff requirements and regulations governing shipments into Foreign Trade Zones, and C-TPAT. This will also require experience working with directly with multiple federal agencies and processes including NAFTA, Food and Drug Administration, Fish and Wildlife, US Department of Agriculture, and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency.
