  • Co-President – Karen Vellutini

    Karen Vellutini has been in the international transportation industry since 1988. Her professional experience encompasses many facets of the industry, including ocean carriers, terminal operators and trucking companies. She is currently Vice President, Sales & Marketing for Devine Intermodal, an intermodal trucking company headquartered in Sacramento, CA. Karen’s previous positions include sales and marketing with Neptune Orient Lines (NOL) and American President Lines (APL). She is a Northern California native and a graduate of the California State University, Fresno in International Business. Karen has been a WIL member for several years and is looking forward to growing the organization and walking in the footsteps of its previous Presidents.

  • Co-President – Eileen Gulian

    Eileen has been a key contributor to Laufer Group International since the opening of Laufer’s San Francisco office in 2011. While working as a Senior Sales Account Executive for Laufer Group, Eileen provides streamlined customized solutions to address her customer’s unique supply chain challenges. She has supported Beneficial Cargo Owners (BCOs) nationwide since the start of her logistics career in 2008. Eileen is a true advocate for her clients and her impact to the industry and community are insurmountable. Her dedication and passion for people and relationships has created her success and has helped her grow her book of business with various companies and commodity groups. While not a Bay Area native she has made Northern California her home. She is a native of New Jersey and graduate of Sacred Heart University in Fairfield CT. Eileen loves living and working in the Bay Area and is looking forward to serving 2017 as Co-President for Women In Logistics.

  • Treasurer – Helene Bunch

    Helene retired from The Clorox International Co. in 2005 where she had been an Export Customer Service Team Leader since July 1, 2000 and had been in the International Division since February 1992. In this position, Helene led a team of 5 people that have responsibility for Clorox’s expanding operations in Asia, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Europe, Middle East, Russia and Africa, known as the Asia Pacific Division. Helene has 35 years of experience in International business, including management positions at steamship lines prior to joining Clorox. A native of New Orleans, LA, she is a graduate of Soule Business College in New Orleans.

  • Executive Secretary – Kyra Kindon

    Kyra Kindon is the District Sales Manager covering Northern California, Northern Nevada, Colorado and Utah for COSCO Container Lines America, Inc. based in San Francisco. As an innovative, articulate and well respected shipping industry professional, Kyra has been in the international transportation industry for 10 years having worked in various sales capacities for APL Limited, part of the NOL Group, on both the east and west coasts. Her professional experience also includes software sales for EMC Corporation. With her track record of revenue growth, business development accomplishments, proficient sales experience, and extremely strong interpersonal skills, Kyra has received various awards and recognition over the years for her positive impact on company profits. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Management and International Business from Smeal College of Business, The Pennsylvania State University, University Park, PA and her Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from San Francisco State University, San Francisco, CA. Kyra decided to pursue a career in international business after having studied abroad in Sweden and Spain where she developed a love for various cultures and international trade. She enjoys traveling whenever possible. Since 2005 she has been a Women in Logistics member, and she looks forward to taking an active role in Women in Logistics.

  • Membership Director – Laura Williams

    Laura Williams is the Operations Administrator of the Pacific Merchant Shipping Association (PMSA), a West Coast maritime trade association, representing ocean carriers and marine terminal operators on a variety of local, state and federal issues. Ms. Williams is responsible for the daily operations of PMSA, which includes: accounting, bookkeeping, human resources, payroll, event planning and company website maintenance. Ms. Williams has been with PMSA since 2004. Ms. Williams is a board member of the PMSA Foundation, a non-profit organization that provides funding to various non-profit programs that benefit California and Washington port communities, including programs for students, those with disabilities, and seafarers. She has also been recently added as Membership Director of Women in Logistics of Northern California (WIL). Ms. Williams also served as Co-Chair of the International Trade, Transportation & Logistics (ITTL)/Global Trade Academy Advisory Board at McClymonds High School from 2010-2012. Prior to joining PMSA, she spent two years at Pacific Maritime Association.
    Ms. Williams graduated cum laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies from San Francisco State University.

  • Job Bank Director – Katie Reuland

    Katie received her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Logistics from Smeal College of Business, The Pennsylvania State University, University Park, PA and has over 20 years experience in Supply Chain Operations. She has worked for Toys ‘R’ Us at their corporate office in Paramus New Jersey in their Operations Department, as Supply Chain Analyst at Cooking.com in Santa Monica, CA, and as Operations Manager at Robinson Salter in Marin County, CA. She is currently the Director of Operations at Down Etc. out of San Francisco, CA which a manufacture/importer of bedding products selling mostly to the hospitality industry. She loves the organization of the supply chain as well as customer service.

  • Mentor Director – Margaret (Maggie) Staub

    Maggie is the Operations Manager at SeaMates International Inc. Maggie has over 24 years of experience in the maritime industry covering a broad range of business functions. Maggie joined SeaMates International, Inc in late 2014 opening a West Coast branch office for a worldwide logistics network provider based out of New Jersey. Her primary focus of responsibility centers on global business development efforts within the Bay Area along with expanding business relationships with importers, exporters, and third-party logistics providers. Prior to joining SeaMates International, Maggie worked for OOCL (USA) Inc. and AT&T in various business development roles. She holds a bachelor’s from University of San Francisco as well as an MBA in Project Management from Keller Graduate School of Management.

  • Public Relations Director – Barbara Dubbs

    Barbara Dubbs has worked in international ocean transportation and for an international export trading firm. She is from the Bay Area and has been in the industry for over 20 years. She is currently the Sales Manager, Northern california and PNW for US Lines, a subsidiary of CMA-CGM. She has also worked for Hamburg Sud, Fesco, APL and Mitsui Trading in the past. Barbara graduated with a degree in International Business and a Minor in Japanese at California State University, Sacramento and also spent a year abroad at Waseda University in Tokyo, Japan. She has been a member of WIL for the past seven years.

  • Scholarship Director – Susan Cholette

    Susan has shuttled back and forth between academia and industry for the past 15 years. She has worked as a consultant for Aspen Technologies implementing supply chain solutions in manufacturing and distribution and as a project manager specializing in replenishment systems for Evant. She is currently a Professor in the Department of Decision Sciences at the SFSU College of Business, where she teaches Operations Management and Supply Chain Management. Even when she is not in the classroom or at her computer, logistics pervades her life as she enjoys recreational travel and exploring the great outdoors. Susan earned her BSE in Electrical Engineering at Princeton University and her Ph.D. in Operations Research at Stanford University. She advocates closer ties between industry and academia and has been managing the scholarship competition for over a decade.

  • Webmaster – Tammy Sanders

    Tammy has been the IT Manager for Devine Intermodal since 2012. She has nearly 20 years of technical experience, including network & desktop support, end user software & hardware training & implementation as well as sales & marketing. Tammy graduated from Franklin Pierce College in 2002 with a BS in Computer Science. Originally from the east coast, Tammy moved to California in 2010. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, reading and virtually anything outside.

  • WIL Founder & Project Manager – Stacy Roth

    Stacy attributes much of her career success to the contacts and knowledge she gained through Women in Logistics. Her exciting career path has afforded her many opportunities to travel globally and work with many cultures while closing significant business opportunities for her employer. She has worked for the top logistics companies in the world of which include her current employer, DSV Air & Sea.

    Previously, Stacy worked for APL, FedEx, and Panalpina.

    As Founder of Women in Transportation (now Women in Logistics), Stacy is remains committed to the original mission of the organization, which is to provide educational and networking opportunities for women in the logistics industry. At the same time, she is proud of the diversity of WIL membership in the 21st century, with men representing 40-50% of our event attendees, a validation of the broad range of resources the group offers to all wishing to begin or to develop careers in this exciting field! Today, Stacy maintains a leadership role with Women in Logistics.
