Opportunities await…

One of the many advantages of WIL membership is the opportunity for career growth. In this vein, WIL welcomes and encourages employers and recruiters to post open positions on our website. If you have a position you would like posted, please read the submission guidelines and provide your information accordingly via email to Theresa Brennan. If you’re looking for a new position, peruse away…

Employers and recruiters may have their job announcements posted here by forwarding them to as word processing documents to Theresa Brennan. Please review these Submission Guidelines before submitting announcements for posting. Submissions that deviate from the guidelines sufficiently to irritate the site administrator, a notably churlish individual, are apt to sink to the bottom of his electronic inbox. Humor him, please. He works for gruel.

All job announcements are posted for 60 days only. If an extension is required, please contact the Job Bank Director prior to the expiry date. The postings will be pulled by the end of the month in which the 60th day falls if no such extension is requested.

Submission Guidelines:

Prepare the job announcement in word-processing software (this will typically be MS Word; other formats can be accepted, but please identify the software used) and forward it as an email attachment to the WIL Job Bank Coordinator. Please note that the document itself must include all relevant information, including contact information—it is not practical for us to extract this from the main body of your email. Do not include HTML code in your documents—this clashes with the site administrator's web authoring environment. Please note also that MS Word documents with embedded tables are NOT acceptable. Note finally that scans of documents are right out.

A typical job announcement will include most of the following elements. Required elements are indicated below by a red star:

  • Company name (either employer or recruiter)
  • Company logo (see “Providing artwork” below)
  • Job title
  • Geographical location
  • Salary range
  • Job description
  • Qualification requirements (education, experience)
  • Company website URL
  • Contact information (at least one of the following: telephone, fax, postal address, email)

Your company may favor a particular style of organizing these elements, and we will be happy to accommodate you in this (note again: NO embedded tables), but we do ask that your format be consistent from one announcement to the next. This will save time on the page creation end, and will result in speedier posting of the announcements.

Providing company artwork

Your company logo, if available, can appear on your job pages. Please contact the site administrator for the technical particulars (do not submit job announcements to the SA, as he is not authorized to accept these).
