Treasurer – Helene Bunch
Helene retired from The Clorox International Co. in 2005 where she had been an Export Customer Service Team Leader since July 1, 2000 and had been in the International Division since February 1992. In this position, Helene led a team of 5 people that have responsibility for Clorox’s expanding operations in Asia, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Europe, Middle East, Russia and Africa, known as the Asia Pacific Division. Helene has 35 years of experience in International business, including management positions at steamship lines prior to joining Clorox. A native of New Orleans, LA, she is a graduate of Soule Business College in New Orleans.
Executive Secretary – Kyra Kindon
Kyra Kindon is the District Sales Manager covering Northern California, Northern Nevada, Colorado and Utah for COSCO Container Lines America, Inc. based in San Francisco. As an innovative, articulate and well respected shipping industry professional, Kyra has been in the international transportation industry for 10 years having worked in various sales capacities for APL Limited, part of the NOL Group, on both the east and west coasts. Her professional experience also includes software sales for EMC Corporation. With her track record of revenue growth, business development accomplishments, proficient sales experience, and extremely strong interpersonal skills, Kyra has received various awards and recognition over the years for her positive impact on company profits. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Management and International Business from Smeal College of Business, The Pennsylvania State University, University Park, PA and her Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from San Francisco State University, San Francisco, CA. Kyra decided to pursue a career in international business after having studied abroad in Sweden and Spain where she developed a love for various cultures and international trade. She enjoys traveling whenever possible. Since 2005 she has been a Women in Logistics member, and she looks forward to taking an active role in Women in Logistics.
Membership Director – Laura Williams
Laura Williams is the Operations Administrator of the Pacific Merchant Shipping Association (PMSA), a West Coast maritime trade association, representing ocean carriers and marine terminal operators on a variety of local, state and federal issues. Ms. Williams is responsible for the daily operations of PMSA, which includes: accounting, bookkeeping, human resources, payroll, event planning and company website maintenance. Ms. Williams has been with PMSA since 2004. Ms. Williams is a board member of the PMSA Foundation, a non-profit organization that provides funding to various non-profit programs that benefit California and Washington port communities, including programs for students, those with disabilities, and seafarers. She has also been recently added as Membership Director of Women in Logistics of Northern California (WIL). Ms. Williams also served as Co-Chair of the International Trade, Transportation & Logistics (ITTL)/Global Trade Academy Advisory Board at McClymonds High School from 2010-2012. Prior to joining PMSA, she spent two years at Pacific Maritime Association.
Ms. Williams graduated cum laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies from San Francisco State University.
